Catesby Estates has entered into an agreement to promote land off Burford Road, Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire for the development of a new residential led community.
The 181.7 acre greenfield site lies within the administrative area of West Oxfordshire District Council, and is in a sustainable location to deliver the objectives of the emerging Oxfordshire Plan 2050 and West Oxfordshire Local Plan 2040.
Our initial proposals include a range of new homes together with employment space and other supporting facilities, services and strategic green infrastructure.
David Harper, Area Land Director for Catesby Estates said; “We worked closely with Richard Foxon and Piers Beeton of Newton LDP who acted on behalf of the landowner and have secured this well located and sustainable site, which is a great addition to the Catesby land promotion portfolio. We look forward to working with the Council and other local stakeholders to bring this site forward to deliver a comprehensive and sustainable development for the area.”
Richard Foxon, Managing Director of Newton LDP Ltd who represent the landowners said: “Having identified the adjacent land as having development potential in 2014, which resulted in planning permission being granted for 125 new homes and the land being sold to Bovis Homes, we are delighted that our longstanding clients have now selected Catesby Estates to promote the wider landholding. Catesby Estates were selected due to their strong track record and commitment to engaging with local communities and key stakeholders. We believe this site offers a logical and sustainable location for future growth within the A40 corridor, where demand for new homes remains extremely high. The site sits outside of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has good access links to the A40 and has the potential to deliver much needed new homes, employment uses and supporting infrastructure. We look forward to seeing the scheme evolve.”
