Newton LDP were appointed by a corporate client to market land following resolution for the grant of planning permission.

West Oxfordshire District Council resolved to grant outline planning permission in August 2023, which was followed by a formal approval in December 2023 for a scheme of up to 90 residential dwellings, including up to 40% affordable housing, creation of new vehicular access off Banbury Road and provision of public open space with associated landscape planting with associated infrastructure.

Initial ‘expression of interest’ letters were sent to identify potential purchasers in advance of the formal marketing campaign with the site being launched to the market in October 2023. Following a competitive marketing period, almost 20 bids were received.

Proposals received were extremely competitive and we shortlisted 7 parties for interview and a ‘best & final’ offer process.  Contracts were exchanged within 5 working weeks of the acceptance of offer and the site was sold to Cala Homes.
