Newton LDP marks five years with more than £515 million in land transactions

Newton LDP is celebrating its fifth anniversary following a period of sustained growth across its development and rural services.

Founded in 2021 by Managing Director Richard Foxon and Director Piers Beeton, we have grown from a two-person consultancy into an award-winning team of 12, advising landowners, farmers, developers, promoters and private clients across development land, strategic land, rural property and agribusiness sectors.

Over the past five years, Newton LDP has facilitated more than £515 million of development and farmland transactions and advised on more than 7,100 acres of strategic development land. Our current development land pipeline has the potential to deliver more than 43,000 new homes and almost 400 acres of commercial development.

Our rural and agribusiness team has also expanded significantly, having now advised on more than 28,500 acres. Our team provides practical advice to farmers, landowners and rural business clients on land management, rural property, agribusiness and wider strategic consultancy.

Richard Foxon, Managing Director at Newton LDP, said:

“Reaching five years is a significant milestone for Newton LDP and reflects the hard work, expertise and ambition of the whole team.

“When Piers and I founded the business in 2021, we wanted to create a consultancy that combined high-quality advice with a personal, commercially focused approach. Five years on, we are proud of the work we have delivered, the clients we support and the best-in-class team we are building.

“The development and rural sectors have changed considerably since we launched. Planning reform, rural policy, taxation pressures and shifting market conditions have all reinforced the importance of clear, practical advice. Our focus has always been on helping clients make informed decisions with confidence.”

Developing talent has also been a key part of Newton LDP’s growth, with the us welcoming Samuel Jones as our first graduate and supporting him through his APC, while also recruiting Jessica Hopkins as its first apprentice.

Richard added:

“One of the things we are most proud of is the team we are building. Growth is not only measured by the value of land we advise on or the number of instructions we secure, but by the opportunities we create for people to develop and enjoy long-term careers in the industry.”

Alongside our commercial success, we have continued to support charitable and community causes. Over the past five years, we have raised more than £200,000 for charity, including more than £170,000 for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

Our annual Charity Clay Shoot, held at Shuckburgh Estate, has become a recognised event in the rural and property calendar, raising more than £46,000 for RABI in 2026 alone.
