Momentous land deal wins "Deal of the Year" award

Leading regional magazine, East Midlands Business Link, has rewarded Newton LDP's work on the recent sale of 460 acres of land in North Leicestershire as ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Business Link Magazine’s East Midlands Brick Awards 2022.

Held last week at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, the Brick Awards brought together professionals from across the East Midlands business community to recognise the outstanding work of those behind the changing landscape of the region.

The substantial new community between Birstall and Rothley, known as Broadnook Garden Suburb, will deliver 1,950 new homes, 15 hectares of employment land, a local centre, primary school, an assisted living retirement village of 175 units, 70 bed care home, sports facilities, play areas and green infrastructure.

Newton LDP along with our joint agents Wells McFarlane Ltd and APB Leicester LLP handled the sale of this large and complex site to Davidsons Homes and Barwood Homes.
