As the delivery of adequate housing stock across the UK continues to be a hot topic, with central government continuing to make it a key priority, Newton’s work has been closely aligned with helping clients deliver results that will address housing needs and develop communities for the future. Newton’s current strategic land portfolio has potential to deliver over 41,500 new homes, making a significant contribution towards meeting the country’s identified housing need.

Since establishing the rural and agribusiness function, the team has provided advice on over 26,000 acres, showcasing its extensive rural expertise, and completed a high volume of land transactions with a focus on off-market purchases and sales

The rural team has grown significantly over the last 12 months with two new appointments. In a challenging rural climate, our clients can clearly see the benefit of tailored strategic advice, addressing long-term decisions and a focus on profitability. Newton has also hosted several successful thought-leadership events at the conference facilities at Stockton House, sharing valuable insights with rural business owners and professionals.

Elsewhere, the business has continued its steadfast focus on community and charity support, with activity over the last 12 months taking Newton’s total fundraising figure to £161,000 from a range of initiatives. Recent fundraising led activities have included Newton’s popular shoot day at Shuckburgh Estate which raised over £50,000 for Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and Cancer Research, and its participation in the grueling Cotswold Way Challenge raised over £8,000 for the Spinal Injuries Association.

Speaking on Newton’s fourth year in business, Richard said: “I am unbelievably proud to see Newton go from strength to strength in our fourth year of trading.

“The numbers speak for themselves, not just in terms of growth and transactions but also the positive impact our team is having within the community, raising considerable funds for good causes.
